Wednesday, October 15, 2008
Skopje, 15 October, 2008 – On 15-16 October 2008, the Banjaluka, Belgrade, Ljubljana, Macedonia, Montenegro, NEX, Sarajevo and Zagreb Stock Exchange will for the first time jointly take part in a two-day international investor conference. The first international road show of the capital markets of SE Europe will be held in Vienna. Its aim is to promote the region's top issuers and their capital markets, as well as to attract international investors.

On 15 and 16 October 2008, Vienna will host the first joint international road show of the capital markets of SE Europe, organized in co-operations with Raiffeisen Centrobank. The participating stock exchanges are all eight SE European market operators: the Banjaluka, Belgrade, Ljubljana, Macedonia, Montenegro, NEX, Sarajevo and Zagreb Stock Exchange. The event will showcase selected companies from all stock exchanges and offer one-on-one meetings with investors.

21 regional issuers will take part in the event. The companies listed on the Macedonian Stock Exchange going to Vienna are: Granit AD Skopje, Komercijalna banka AD Skopje and Toplifikacija AD Skopje.

Promotions of regional issuers for regional portfolio investors were planned in the Memorandum of Partnership, which the participating stock exchanges entered into in December 2007 to increase the visibility of the regional market and their individual issuers.

The Vienna event will be attended by 70 institutional investors, while 150 one-on-one meetings have also been scheduled.

Within the framework of the Memorandum of Partnership, the Macedonian Stock Exchange also participated in the setting up of two regional indices, the DJ STOXX Sub Balkan Total Market Index and the DJ STOXX Sub Balkan 30, thereby increasing the international visibility of Macedonian issuers and their importance in the region.

The capital markets of SE Europe went on their first joint road show in June 2008 when it was held within the region, in Zagreb.
