Today, March 6, 2019, the Macedonian Stock Exchange signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Fund for Innovations and Technology Development (FITR). The aim of the joint cooperation of these two institutions is to allow Macedonian companies access to an alternative source of fund raising and in the future to create a new important channel for financing domestic innovative entrepreneurs.
In the next period, the Macedonian stock exchange will try to facilitate the process of financing startups, small and medium enterprises, following the experiences of some other stock exchanges in the region by promoting an innovative platform for collective financing on a global scale. Through this platform, Macedonian companies will get the opportunity for easier non-bank financing depending on their innovation and competitiveness, and domestic investors will be able to invest in domestic business projects where they will recognize good potential. At the same time, the Stock Exchange will offer and expand its services to the smaller Macedonian companies.
