Regular revision of MBI10 and new Index of publicly held companies - MBID

On 15.06.2007 the MSE Index Commission made a regular revision of MBI10 index, for the first time with changed Methodology with the limit that on the day of revision the stake of each share-part of the index is not over 25%. According to the Methodology, starting from 18.06.2007, the following shares are part of the MBI10 index: Komercijalna banka AD Skopje, Granit AD Skopje, Alkaloid AD Skopje, Makstil AD Skopje, Stopanska banka AD Bitola, Makpetrol AD Skopje, Toplifikacija AD Skopje, TTK Banka AD Skopje, Beton AD Skopje and Teteks AD Tetovo. The next regular revision of MBI10 is on 15.12.2007. From 18.06.2007 the Macedonian Stock Exchange has started the calculation and publishing of the new Index of publicly held companies-MBID, with the base value of 10.000 points on 15.06.2007. Considering the big differences between the companies on the Market of publicly held companies, regarding the capital and the liquidity, MBID is a price index, which elements are being chosen according to the following criteria: number of trading days and turnover in the period between two revisions of the index. According to the Methodology for calculation of MBID, first elements of MBID are the ordinary shares of the following companies: Mittal Steel Skopje (HRM) AD Skopje, Kjubi Makedonija AD Skopje, OKTA AD Skopje, Stopanska banka AD Skopje, Prilepska pivarnica AD Prilep, Mittal Steel Skopje (CRM) AD Skopje, Makedonski telekomunikacii AD Skopje, ICN-Farm AD Skopje, Beton AD Stip, Metalec AD Prilep, Makedonska banka AD Skopje, Automakedonija AD Skopje, UNI Banka AD Skopje, Mlaz AD Bogdanci and Tutunska Banka AD Skopje. These 15 elements of MBID are taking 87% of the total turnover on the Market of publicly held companies in the previous quarter. The next regular revision of MBID is on 15.09.2007.
