Alkaloid AD Skopje has informed the Macedonian Stock Exchange about negotiations with a strategic partner for a potential acquisition. Alkaloid has talks with the pharmaceutical company Aktavis form Reykjavik, Iceland (until 17.05.2004 known as Farmaco). Alkaloid AD Skopje has two parallel goals: 1. Its own development, investing in new, modern production capacities, proactive marketing and entering new markets, and 2. Finding a strategic partner, considering the current processes of globalization. In the potential acquisition, Alkaloid will negotiate with several basic requirements: a good price for its shares, elopement plan for the company, protection of the employees and protection of the management.
